Brittany Bisinotto, DVM
Dr. Brittany Bisinotto, also a true Floridian, was born in Tampa and raised in Palm Coast. Unlike many of her peers, she didn’t always want to be a veterinarian. She graduated from Vanderbilt University with a degree in biomedical engineering. During her senior year she worked for the late Ron Wilson, former state veterinarian of Tennessee and volunteered at the Nashville Zoo. After visiting South Africa on a month-long wildlife veterinary excursion, she was hooked and knew that a career in veterinary medicine was meant to be. She earned her master’s degree in Animal Science at the University of Florida while also working full time as a veterinary technician. In 2014 she graduated from Ross University’s School of Veterinary Medicine after completing her clinical year at the University of Florida.
Before finding the gem that is Trenton Animal Hospital and now Tricounty Veterinary ER, Dr. Bisinotto practiced in south Florida, Minnesota, and did relief work in the greater Gainesville area. Her professional interests include soft tissue surgery, dentistry, and promoting quality of life with a multimodal approach in senior patients. Dr. Bisinotto is passionate about client education and believes that the more informed owners are, the more prepared and empowered they’ll be to make decisions on behalf of their furry family members.
Dr. Bisinotto lives in Gainesville with her husband Rafael, a fellow veterinarian and professor at UF’s College of Veterinary Medicine, and their 3 daughters, Lena, Zoe, and Piper. Dr. Bisinotto enjoys spending time with her family, reading, gardening, and live music.

Kristen Macdonald, DVM
Kristen Macdonald joined us in April 2024 and has been an amazing addition to our team. Dr. MacDonald is a UF CVM classmate of Dr. Allison Hiers, the owner, graduating with her DVM in May 2026. Following graduation from vet school she went to work at Suburban Animal Hospital in Gainesville Florida and worked there for 17 years. In the spring of 2024 she started part time relief work to be able to spend more time with her 4 children and taking care of her farm. She joined our staff as a relief vet in April but loved it so much she came on board a steady 3 days a week this past summer. One of the things that she loves the most about Trenton Animal Hospital are the clients that she has met and establishing lasting relationships with them and their beloved pets. Nurturing the veterinarian-client/pet bond and educating our clients is of utmost importance to her and she looks forward to doing so for years to come.

Stacy
Veterinary Technician
I am a little obsessed with caring for animals which means I have had many “foster fails” that have become a part of my fur family. I knew a very long time ago that I wanted to be in the medical field and chose the animal side of medicine. Boy did I make the right choice. I cannot imagine doing anything else.
I was born and raised in South Florida and have moved quite a few times in my life. Florida, Europe, Georgia and back to Florida. When I found this little town of Trenton in 2012, I fell in love. I joined the Trenton Animal Hospital family soon after. Working with such compassionate co-workers, made me believe that I found “my place”. Our clients and their fur babies have been amazing over the years and I know that it will only get better.
